A lovely day was had exploring downtown L.A.’s Grand Central Market. Chock-full of culinary goodness in a gritty urban setting, this was basically my version of a perfect stay-cation.
Capturing all of the colors the packaging and produce offered may have been my favorite thing…Oh wait, until I found #DTLA
There are many well-known and popular foodie joints in this market but take my advice and insert yourself into the center of the open-air plaza, skipping the mental lines at Egg Slut (this is in fact a must at some point however), find DTLA Cheese Shop and get yourself an out-of-this-world sand-o to go. You’re welcome.
This. A cheese sandwich with carmelized onions and ham….mind-blowing.
Of course I had to try a bit of everything…so next up was a lox bagel at Wexler’s Deli
Literally shaken, not stirred, this latte is helplessly frothy, velvety and delicious. The perfect parting libation, or starting…or break time treat, anytime treat…Seriously, there isn’t a bad time for this beverage. ever.
