A visit to cheer on some mates who ran the San Francisco marathon this past weekend provided a chance to hit some of my fav haunts….thought I’d share the experience! San Francisco, to me, is second to New York in terms of foodie havens. And although there wasn’t time for the cheerleading committee to indulge in all the foodie goodness of the city, I still managed to hit some of the best and most convenient spots along the way. Discovering “Farm Table” was a great find as well as my usual stop in at Blue Bottle for an afternoon cap.
Waking up early to head out, we needed a small bite before we hit the hills of SF. Our doorman at the Clift, a hip-looking young Francisconite…(Franciscoan??) recommended Farm Table. GREAT find right in the city, 2 blocks away. Done! I highly recommend the sea salt focaccia with ricotta and fresh berries. 754 Post Street, San Francisco, CA 94109 http://farmtablesf.com @farmtable
Next stop, Hayes Valley. Lunch at Arlequin, a great little cafe attached to a wine market. Purchase some rosé and bring it across to enjoy with your lunch. Apparently, the experience was so enjoyable, I forgot to document it. So, i’ll just tell you…GO!
